School meetings, IPRCs, IEPs, assessments, placements — it can feel overwhelming. My role is to help you understand the system, your rights, and your child’s options so you can participate confidently in every decision.

With over 30 years in education — including 23 years as a Special Education Resource Teacher — I bring an insider’s understanding of how school-based decisions are made, combined with a parent-centred approach grounded in respect and collaboration.

I will work alongside you to:

• Advocate effectively for your child within the school system
• Prepare for and navigate IPRC meetings with clarity and confidence
• Review school-identified strengths and needs to ensure they accurately reflect your child
• Attend school meetings (including care conferences and IPRCs) to provide guidance and continuity
• Review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and offer practical, strengths-based recommendations
• Support you in building long-term advocacy skills beyond individual meetings

Provide informed recommendations and referrals (speech-language, occupational therapy, psychological services, specialized equipment, placements, and programming supports)

My goal is not just to support you in one meeting — but to help you feel empowered moving forward.
